Start with the question, not the brochure
A first conversation establishes what is actually being asked, whether RCA Engineering is the right party to answer it, and what the work would involve. There is no charge for it and no obligation attached.

Before you write
What to include
None of this is required, and a one-line message is welcome. But a first message containing these points usually removes an entire exchange, and lets the first call start at the technical question rather than at the introductions.
- The material and where it comes from — blades, hulls, airframe, offcut, mixed industrial GFRP
- Approximate tonnage, and over how many years
- What stage the project is at — idea, feasibility, permitting, financing, construction, operating
- What decision the work has to support, and by when
- Whether a lender, investor or authority will read the output
What happens next
The first two steps
Response within two working days. If the enquiry falls outside what RCA Engineering can do well, that is said immediately, with a suggestion of who is better placed. A declined enquiry costs you a day; a wrongly accepted one costs a great deal more.
A call of about thirty minutes. Enough to define the question, identify what information already exists and what is missing, and establish whether there is a conflict with any prior mandate. Any conflict is declared before engagement, not disclosed afterwards.
Then, if it proceeds: a written scope, deliverable and fee, agreed before work starts. NDA on request before any material is exchanged.
Routing
Who writes, and about what
Owners and operators
Decommissioning programmes, arisings forecasting, treatment routing, and capacity contracts that have to hold for years rather than months.
Recyclers and technology developers
Process design and sizing, feedstock specification, mass and energy balance, and the case that has to convince someone outside the company.
Investors and lenders
Independent technical and financial due diligence on recycling, waste-to-energy and gasification assets, written to be audited rather than admired.
Consortia and research partners
Techno-economic assessment, exploitation and bankability work packages in collaborative projects, where the analysis is the deliverable.
Prime contractors
Named engineer of record for composite and process scope, as specialist subcontractor rather than anonymous capacity.
Press and editorial
Commentary and technical contributions on composite end of life, thermal valorisation and EPC contracting. Same address.
Confidentiality
How your material is handled
Enquiries are treated as confidential from the first message. No client, project or document is used as a reference or an example without written permission, and no material from one engagement informs another.
RCA Engineering does not publish content derived from client work. Where the firm writes publicly, it writes about the problem, never about the file.
Not a fit
Where to look elsewhere
RCA Engineering does not supply, build, license or resell plant, and does not act as agent for technology providers. If what you need is equipment, a vendor will serve you better and faster.
The firm also does not take mandates where it holds a conflicting prior engagement, or where the scope exceeds what a single-principal practice can deliver to standard. In both cases it will say so and point elsewhere.
Personal data sent by email is used only to respond to the enquiry and is not shared with third parties. See the privacy notice for detail.
